Mindful Body’s approach to counseling & coaching.

During counseling, I want to encourage and support you in finding your ways to cope with your life’s challenges and difficulties. Therefore, of course we will be focusing on what is causing pain, suffering or dissatisfaction for you at the minute. At the same time, next to speaking about what’s difficult for you, the major goal of our work will be to identify and strengthen your inner resources. We will build on the part of you that is essentially and unconditionally healthy, enabling you to overcome your difficulties and outgrow what keeps you down at the minute. 

This all happens at your pace. It means for you, that your counseling at Mindful Body might take only one session, three sessions, nine sessions, or maybe more, but exactly the amount, that you feel is right and needed to make a lasting change in your life. This is completely up to you and based on your individual needs and goals.

Let’s talk: In person or remote video-based counseling.

Remote video-based counseling works pretty much in the same way as the “usual”, non-digital counseling. You can meet me in person in my practice in Marktgasse 18, or from your home… or literally any other place on this planet that allows for a stable internet connection.

Sometimes it is easier to text than to talk.Turning a spoken dialogue in a written one slows things down, creates a calm atmosphere and helps to reflect deeply. At the same time, it gives you a lot of personal space to feel comfortable.

Let’s walk: Outdoor counseling.

In case you find yourself in Zurich and would prefer to meet in person instead of online, I am happy to meet you for a Walk & Talk, which takes our sessions outdoors into the greens or streets of Zurich. Oftentimes, the best thing for a mind that is stuck is a moving body.

Let’s work: Integrative Bodywork

Integrative Bodywork is a mix of counseling, mindfulness practice and bodywork. Our sessions start with a conversation and transitions into practices of embodied mindfulness.

 

Is this the right thing for me?

 

Whatever bothers you can be of topic in the sessions. Maybe, you are currently struggling with anxiety or depression, stress at home or at work, burnout, relationship conflict or physical pain. There are no constraints and whatever your topic is, we will work on it together. Legally, you have to be 18 years or older in order to sign up for a session.

However, and this is for your own safety: In case you are in a severe crisis right now, Mindful Body can't offer the support you need. In case you feel disoriented and confused, or close to harm yourself or others or even suicidal because of your suffering, please turn to people who can provide the help you need such as a crisis intervention center or a psychiatry close to where you live. In acute emergency, please call 112.
